York was the first Community Furniture Store to open back in 1988, and over the last three decades the store has worked hard to build a relationship with the community.  

We work closely with City of York Council to deliver the City’s Financial Assistance Scheme, ensuring that those most in need can create a comfortable new home. We also work in partnership with local organisations to provide a money advice drop in to support people access financial advice.
