Community Furniture Stores opened our second store in Selby in 2004, following growing demand from our York store to support individuals and families in the area. Since then, the Selby store has become a welcoming hub at the heart of the community a place where people can access affordable household essentials, find friendly support and feel connected. It is also a place where volunteers can thrive, build confidence, develop skills and feel part of something meaningful.

In 2025, we were proud to launch our Community Bike Project, bringing local people together in a shared effort to make a difference. Through generous bike donations from the community, we’re able to gift refurbished bicycles to people who need them most.
