CFS is charity that supports our local communities with locations in Scarborough, Selby and York. We provide access to quality, affordable preloved furniture and electrical items, giving pre-owned goods a second life through reuse and helping to reduce waste in the process. By keeping furniture in circulation, we’re not only protecting the environment but also making everyday essentials accessible to everyone.

Our stores are open to all, and every purchase made with us directly supports our charitable work. When you shop with CFS, you are helping us continue to grow, reach more people, and make a lasting difference.

To ensure affordability for those who need it most, we operate a two-tier concessions scheme, offering additional discounts to customers on a low income. We believe everyone deserves a comfortable home, regardless of their circumstances.

Alongside our wide range of donated stock, we also offer a range of fully customisable La Romantica new beds, available to view in each of our stores. We understand how important a good night’s sleep is, which is why we are committed to providing excellent quality and value all year round.

Collections

We offer a free furniture collection service across York, Scarborough and Selby for larger items you would like to donate. If your furniture is in good, reusable condition, our team can arrange to collect it directly from your home.

You can also drop off donations directly at any of our stores during opening hours.

Your donated items will be sold in our stores at affordable prices, helping local people furnish their homes while preventing good furniture from going to waste.

Deliveries

We offer delivery from all three of our stores, with prices starting from £15. Delivery charges vary depending on the size of your order and the delivery location, and our team will be happy to provide a clear quote before arranging this for you.

To protect our small staff teams and volunteers, our delivery service is to the ground floor only. This helps ensure the safety and wellbeing of everyone involved. However, each of our stores works closely with trusted local delivery services who may be able to assist with deliveries to upper floors. These providers operate independently and have their own pricing structures, but a member of our team will gladly connect you with them should you wish to obtain a quote.
